It's as well negative that the previous reviewer had such a negative experience. These work amazing for us! Maybe the clean windows on our new mini-van was a element in prosperous installation?
Pros:
1) Setup was super quick. I was even able to peel and reapply in order to reposition/straighten the shade. The shades have never ever fallen off or started peeling at the edges, though we've only had them up perhaps four+ months.
2) Fabulous at keeping out sunlight, far better than the roller shades that suction to the windows due to the fact it actually shades or dims the light rather than diffusing the brightness by means of tiny holes like the suction type.
3) Because they are static clings, we can place up two shades side-by-side in our mini-van and not have any gaps like we had when we had two suction roller shades next to every single other.

EDIT/UPDATE
Immediately after such a superb encounter with the first set, we bought yet another set back in January. Yet, they did not appear to have as a lot "cling", and didn't last 12 hours prior to they fell perfect off.
As suspected, it turns out that the cold Chicago climate was the culprit! Following waiting for the weather to warm up, I am happy to report achievement! My husband cleaned the windows (just as a precaution), and was able to re-install the shades regardless of the fact that they had been practically crumpled on the floor of our mini-van for a number of weeks prior to we rolled them up again to store for the remainder of the winter.
LESSON: Don't install these in the dead of Chicago winter! Btw, we've never ever had any problems with the first set, even throughout the winter (they had been installed in Aug/Sept). This second set is searching fairly superior so far (it is been about a month).
Update 2
Sep 2007: Given that installing our very first set two years ago, our 2nd set final summer, and our 3rd set a couple months ago (with the arrival of 3), we have not touched the shades because they went up and they are nonetheless working great. Maybe a couple tiny bubbles right here and there, but haven't had to do anything! (Nevertheless do not roll down the windows). If anything modifications, I'll update, but they appear to be going robust.

I was so excited to attempt out this item. My son would generally pull the roll up shades off the windows whilst I was driving, and they just didn't block out enough sun. These shades are fairly dark. So be extra cautious when driving at night to appear behind you. Ahead of installing them on your windows make positive your automobile is cool inside and clean the windows certainly decent with window cleaner. Have some patience. If your windows have any curve to them you'll have some bubbles to function out. But when they are on they remain put. I've had my shades for a handful of months now in my automobile and they have not peeled off yet. And my son doesn't spend any focus to them.
